The French fashion house unveiled a luminous collection at the Villa d&#39;Este, combining glamour and dolce vita.

On the banks of the shimmering waters of Lake Como, the House <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/chanel-arrives-at-lake-como-the-cruise-2025-26-show-at-villa-d-este" target="_blank" rel="noopener">of Chanel</a> offered a true waking dream with its Cruise 2025-26 collection, displayed in the enchanting setting of the Villa d'Este. A legendary Italian holiday destination, this majestic residence was transformed, for one evening, into a theater of absolute elegance. More than a fashion show, Chanel composed an ode to Italy, between refinement, lightness and cinematic spirit. The silhouettes strolled under the stone arcades, between the wrought iron tables, in a suspended atmosphere where past and present met. Sheltered by the portico opening onto the lake, the guests&mdash;among them Keira Knightley, Margaret Qualley, Caroline De Maigret and Joan Thiele &mdash;attended a visual score signed by Studio Chanel , orchestrated like a film sequence. This intimate connection between the House and the lake finds its roots in the friendship between Gabrielle Chanel and filmmaker Luchino Visconti, whose shadow gracefully hovers over this staging conceived as a tribute to la dolce vita. Inspired by a poetic short film by Sofia Coppola , the collection blends the heritage of French couture with a carefree summer: pastel taffeta, sequined tweed, striped lam&eacute;, flowing jumpsuits... Each piece evokes a beautiful escape. The palette, meanwhile, echoes the hues of the Villa d'Este and the surrounding gardens &ndash; golden ochres, moss greens, sunny yellow, and the essential Chanel black. Perfectly draped white trousers, fruity pink pea coats, revisited sailor tops: the cruise wardrobe is adorned with playful sophistication. Accessories extend this reverie with raffia bags, silk scarves, oversized sunglasses, long gloves and even playful cupcakes. The result is a vision of nonchalant elegance, contemporary yet rooted in the classic imagination. That evening, Chanel didn't just present a collection: it told a story, one of sunshine, cinema, shared memories, and timeless beauty.
