Justicia Ruano, Mango&#39;s Head of Design, worked hand in hand with Camille Charrière on this festive and stylish collaboration. Exclusively for L&#39;OFFICIEL , the fashion pro told us more about the inspirations and underside of the most prominent capsule of the season.

L'OFFICIEL: Why did you choose <a href="https://www.lofficiel.com/fashion/camille-charriere-mode-et-mariage" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Camille Charri&egrave;re</a> for this new collaboration between Mango and an international influencer?
Justicia Ruano: Camille is a good friend of the brand; she started collaborating with Mango a few years ago as Mango girl and it evolved into this amazing collection together. When we thought of creating a festive collection, we instantly thought of her. She has a sharp eye for fashion, she's sophisticated and fun, and the way she mixes vintage with contemporary trends is truly special. When we started discussing the collection, one thing that was really important to both of us was that we wanted to make a timeless, high quality collection that would last through the seasons and not go out of fashion.
Camille has a mix of French and London influences, sophisticated and cool at the same time, and completely effortless . She also resonated with Mango because she's very "Mediterranean" in a way, fun-loving and fun to be around, and we got on really well. She is now part of the family. The result of the collection is exceptional in our eyes, we are very happy. She is also one of the most influential voices in fashion right now.
LO: What values do the brand and Camille share?
JR: She's very elegant, very funny and doesn't take herself too seriously. Camille is also a very focused, smart, modern and empowered woman, and we love that. Working with our community gives us a great contribution to our collections. That's why she brought a freshness and a point of view to the collection that is very relevant for the brand, and also for our customers. She knows how to enjoy life and is very connected to her community; it is definitely a very Mediterranean value that we share.
LO: How did you work to create this capsule collection?
JR: The whole design team at Mango worked very hard and very closely with Camille. We started sharing moodboards and ideas, and had a few working sessions together in Barcelona, Paris and London, to define the fittings, the looks, the fabrics... All the possible details. For us it was very important to create a very fun and sexy party collection, but also to use high quality fabrics. The collection is ultimately very elegant. Working together has been a truly rewarding experience, and we all think the outcome is as good as it gets. There has been a great connection between all of us.

LO: What were your inspirations?
JR: The collection is inspired by the 90s and 2000s, vintage pieces and icons such as Kate Moss and other top models from those years. We looked through hundreds of old party photos together. The idea behind this collection was to create something that everyone could afford and wear. There is also a very fun part in the collection, there is even a pajama set, and the "Ravioli" t-shirt which is a tribute to her cat.
LO: What is your favorite piece from the collection?
JR: I have a lot of favorite pieces from the collection, but the most special for me is the long nude tulle dress with crystal transfer. It is a spectacular piece, and at the same time very delicate due to the transparency and the effect that the crystal produces with the light. It's a piece that I would never want to get rid of, even if the seasons pass.
LO: If this collaboration were to be music, what would it be?
