From the freedom in every step of Very Colibrì to the self-revealing moments of My Peekaboo, FENDI continues to reinterpret the two iconic symbols of the fashion house in a new language under Maria Grazia Chiuri.

With the Fall/Winter 2026–27 collection, Maria Grazia Chiuri begins the first chapter at FENDI by returning to designs that have defined the fashion house&#39;s heritage through a contemporary feminine spirit. Very Colibrì seeks a balance between femininity, sensuality, and movement; while My Peekaboo explores the contrast between what is displayed and what is kept hidden.

&quot;The Art of Balance&quot; in the Colibrì slingback shoe design. First introduced on the Spring/Summer 2018 runway, FENDI&#39;s signature Colibrì slingback quickly became a trademark of the fashion house with its elegant silhouette and distinctive elastic straps. The design creates a contrasting dialogue between formality and a light, flexible spirit. In her first collection for FENDI, Maria Grazia Chiuri reinterpreted this icon under the name Very Colibrì – a sensual, minimalist version introduced in the Autumn/Winter 2026–27 collection. Stripping away unnecessary details to return to the original lines, Very Colibrì highlights the inherent balance between strength and femininity. The new, slimmer heel creates a weightless feel, while the deep V-shaped toe elongates the silhouette. These two elements combine to create a balance between allure and mobility, allowing each step to be free and graceful. In The Art of Balance campaign, photographer Michal Pudelka captures the dialogue between movement and femininity through a surreal lens. Set against the backdrop of Rome&#39;s Stadio delle Terme di Caracalla, everyday movements are transformed into a poetic dance. Models appear in spontaneous moments of movement, celebrating freedom, confidence, and grace – qualities that embody the spirit of Very Colibrì, as well as the timeless rhythm of Rome.

Reinterpreting the FENDI Peekaboo symbol
Behind the glitz and glamour, the backstage area is a private space where actors and directors can temporarily set aside their roles and return to their true selves. The contrast between performance and authenticity, between what we choose to showcase and what we want to keep private, is the very spirit behind FENDI's iconic Peekaboo bag. This spirit is continued in the new campaign featuring Monica Bellucci, Valeria Golino, FENDI Ambassador Tang Yan, and Yara Shahidi.
Shot by Laura Sciacovelli at Studio De Paolis – a historic landmark of Roman cinema – the campaign brings My Peekaboo, a new version of the iconic symbol reinterpreted by Maria Grazia Chiuri for the Fall/Winter 2026–27 season, into the backstage of a film studio. This is also FENDI's way of continuing to celebrate the deep connection between the fashion house and Italian cinema.
Through Sciacovelli's spontaneous paparazzi lens, the subjects reveal their very own rituals behind the lights: some intently reading scripts, others lost in thought, each accompanied by their personalised My Peekaboo, marked with their own initials.
Launched in 2008, the Peekaboo bag has become one of FENDI's iconic symbols, its name inspired by the familiar game of peek-a-boo. In the first collection for the fashion house, Maria Grazia Chiuri returned to the bag's original shape, while refreshing it with a more rounded and gentle structure. The distinctive opening is emphasised, allowing users to glimpse the interior – and, if they wish, reveal a part of their own personality.
