Montmartre: the Bohemian Hangout From AMI Paris SS23 Collection

AMI 's Spring Summer 2023 collection is a love letter to Paris, to its innate romanticism and its joie-de-vivre. Entitled Cœur Sacré, after the monument atop Montmartre where the show was presented, the SS23 collection is sexy, rich, eclectic, retro - a hint of the 1960s makes it delightfully intriguing - it's energetic, it's refined. AMI once again proves to perfectly interpret the much envied French style, giving it that extra fashionista and contemporary accent. The allure of Montmartre is the icing on the cake: the center of bohemian life during the Belle Époque , as well as the symbol of an unconventional lifestyle, among artists, writers, musicians and actors, today becomes a place to breathe the air of change, novelty and above all freedom.

AMI translates everything into an eclectic and très français collection, between minimal but graphically captivating silhouettes and lines that embrace the body or leave it free to move, authentic and pragmatic fits. The prints shine with their own light: stripes, gingham and windowpane checks, but also polka dots and all-over hearts: AMI reaffirms the concept that graphics are cool, retro and luxurious. The palette also follows this line of thinking, celebrating versatile, bold and joyful hues. Stone gray and nautical blue alternate with scarlet red, royal blue and evergreen. But not only that, the palette of summer pastels also takes center stage with natural whites, vanilla beige and candy pink. Note of merit for the show is certainly the cast: to open the show the French actress Audrey Tautou , followed by Mariacarla Boscono , Liya Kebede, Karen Elson, Precious Lee, Cara Delevingne, and Kristen McMenamy. While in the front row to observe the show: Catherine Deneuve, Carla Bruni and Naomi Campbell . Final gem: the accessories, especially the red foularini around the neck, extremely French , extremely chic.
