At the Observatoire de Paris, the venerable city's astronomical institution, Jonny Johansson unveils the Spring-Summer 2024 Women's Collection. A contemplation of the female form intertwined with a steadfast connection to the roots of the Swedish brand.

&laquo;This season's industrial vibe comes mostly from my passion for denim and the many ways we can manipulate this amazing fabric. But it also comes from the idea of ​​a construction site: things are not finished, a work in progress. I wanted to convey the beauty of this aspect" , comments Jonny Johansson, creative director of <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/kylie-jenner-shows-off-the-hottest-new-season-denim" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Acne Studio</a> on the women's spring summer 2024 collection . We perceive the need to return to the origins of the founder of the Swedish brand to his first collection in 1997 composed mainly of denim. All inspired by the work &ldquo;Physical Evidence of a Woman&rdquo; by the British artist Katerina Jebb who decodes the elements of women's clothing: red stilettos, false eyelashes, women's tights.
&laquo;We worked with the Physical Evidence of a Woman scan series by Katerina Jebb. These artefacts are something that seems almost lost to me today, they seem dated, yet they are still there. So we used them as prints and subverted them. This exploration seemed timely to me with respect to the current situation in fashion: the boundaries between genres are blurred, there are no longer labels."

And in the minimal sand-colored space of Acne Studio in which only a half-destroyed disco mirror ball stands, Jonny Johansson's creations parade to the tune of the electronic duo Giant Swan. <span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-ligatures: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; font-weight: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;">Floating and sculptural dresses, miniskirts worn at a low waist, very light tops with eyelashes on the d&eacute;collet&eacute;, garments in coated denim, dresses with hints of fluttering marabou and dresses made of very light cotton voile with transparent tartan print enriched with ruffles and pom poms. <span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-ligatures: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; font-weight: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;">Even if in its entirety the collection communicates the impression of having dressed in a hurry to go out, Jonny Johansson reflects on feminine codes, celebrating the brand's legacy and the <span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-ligatures: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; font-weight: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;">feminine spirit expressed through the works of Katerina Jebb.
