Burberry announces a partnership with the Victoria &amp; Albert Museum to redevelop its Fashion Gallery, which will become The Burberry Gallery when it opens in 2027.

<a href="https://www.lofficiel.com/fashion-week/burberry-entre-elegance-intemporelle-et-escapades-bohemes" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Burberry</a> has announced its partnership with the Victoria &amp; Albert Museum ( <a href="https://www.vam.ac.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">V&amp;A</a> ) for the transformation of its iconic Fashion Gallery in <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/art/leigh-bowery-london-tate-modern-exhibition-who-is" target="_blank" rel="noopener">London</a> 's South Kensington. This commitment is part of a multi-year collaboration with the British capital's iconic arts and cultural institution. By uniting two icons of British culture, the museum and the brand share a common heritage of tradition, innovation and creativity. The Fashion Gallery will be completely redesigned and renamed exclusively The Burberry Gallery , a new name that will mark its opening in spring 2027.
From May 2025, the V&amp;A Fashion Gallery will close for a refurbishment that will transform the space into a spectacular and participatory space, designed to inspire visitors and offer a new and exciting way to experience the museum's fashion collection. This project is not just a simple space transformation, but also includes a diverse program of online and in-person activities, with the aim of delivering a world-class learning experience and making fashion education more accessible to all.

The V&amp;A has always been a place of excellence in the preservation and presentation of fashion , and its Fashion Gallery, one of the museum's largest permanent spaces, has not been fully renovated since 1962. The V&amp;A has previously featured several pieces from the House of Burberry in internationally renowned exhibitions, such as Fashioned from Nature , Fashioning Masculinities: The Art of Menswear , and most recently NAOMI: In Fashion .
When it reopens in 2027, The Burberry Gallery will continue to showcase a world-class collection of fashion, spanning five centuries of design, featuring pieces by prestigious brands and iconic designers. Burberry , for its part, has a long history of supporting arts and culture, both in the UK and internationally, partnering, for example, with the British Pavilion at the Venice Biennale and the Royal Academy for the Thomas Burberry Award. The brand also presented its latest Winter 2025 runway collections at Tate Britain and Summer 2025 at the National Theatre, both in London.

The V&amp;A Fashion Gallery will close on Sunday, 4 May 2025 to begin refurbishment work, and The Burberry Gallery is scheduled to open in spring 2027. This partnership between Burberry and the Victoria and Albert Museum marks not only the transformation of a space, but also the ongoing commitment of both institutions to innovation, accessibility, and the celebration of fashion as a living, essential, and ever-evolving art form.
