LFW40 is even more inclusive with a mix of events and activities designed to highlight London’s creative communities, with independent brands at the centre of the conversation. And not just for industry insiders.

From 12 to 17 September a new kermesse of shows opens its doors between live and phygital events of the London Fashion Week which on this occasion celebrates its 40th edition. Obviously it is not just about fashion shows and presentations: what to do and see in London on the hot days of the shows is spoiled for choice. Fashion, art, design, shopping and party time will be the order of the day and night. Passing through London without planning a visit to the Victoria &amp; Albert Museum is out of the question. At the moment it is possible to see the exhibition Fragile Beauty : Photographs from the Sir Elton John and David Furnish Collection and the first ever dedicated to the black Venus of the catwalks: <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/naomi-campbell-exhibition-london-90-s-supermodel-naomi-campbell" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Naomi in Fashion.</a> Two perfect exhibitions pertinent to the fashion story of these days. And then there is a novelty regarding the very recent opening of the Moco Museum , third location after Amsterdam and Barcelona, which offers a wide range of modern, contemporary and urban art. On 11 September the temporary personal exhibition of <a href="https://mocomuseum.com/artists/marina-abramovic/17156">Marina Abramovic</a> opens &nbsp; "Healing Frequency" which will feature renowned artists such as Warhol, Basquiat, Anthony James, Picasso, Banksy, KAWS, Pilar Zeta, Six N. Five in a performance art formula. (Marble Arch 1-4)

The British Fashion Council’s <a href="https://londonfashionweek.co.uk/citywide-celebration" target="_blank" rel="noopener">City Wide Celebration</a> returns for SS25 to liven up fashion week with activities designed to liven up and share values of inclusivity and ethical and environmental awareness alongside the flow of shows and presentations for next spring and summer. The celebration brings together over 200 stores, bars, restaurants and salons for events, previews, parties, designer Q&amp;As, workshops and live music performances in shopping hotspots including Seven Dials and Carnaby Street. Among the various activities the map sees highlights from Whistles, Rixo and Bella Freud, workshops at five-star hotels such as The Chelsea Townhouse and in-store events at Penhaligon’s and Anya Hindmarch .

City Wide Celebration is Back – this time Nationwide!

From 13th to 17th September At the Embassy of Brazil, you can also visit A Chain of Women from the <a href="https://www.bcft.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Brazil: Creating Fashion for Tomorrow</a> program, the second exhibition dedicated to the resources of this beautiful country to highlight the fundamental role of women in the fashion industry. Inside, a curated selection of brands, including PatBo, Farm Rio, Vix and Nannacay, along with sustainable and innovation initiatives led by talented Brazilian women from low-income communities. From Catarina Mina&#39;s work with communities in the state of Ceará, Farm Rio&#39;s collaboration with indigenous artisans Yawanawá and PatBo&#39; and her embroidery school. Malwee will exhibit pieces made with Fio do Futuro, a material first launched in 2022 composed of 85 percent fibers from used and shredded clothing, collected in collaboration with the Red Cross.

Also to mark on the agenda is the opening of the new Whistles store which for the occasion inaugurates a luxury shopping concept in the heart of Covent Garden and which will open its doors on September 12th. Located in Long Acre, it extends over 3,600 square feet, spread over two floors, the largest Whistles to date. Among the selection of pieces from the AW24 collections, there are Whistles in-house brands such as Hai, Rains, Isle of Eden and Sahar by Modest Mira. ( 117 Long Acre).

Don't miss the <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/uniqlo-names-clare-waight-keller-as-creative-director" target="_blank" rel="noopener">UNIQLO</a> Global Photo Exhibition-PEACE FOR ALL with Magnum Photo opening at King's Cross, at <a href="https://www.instagram.com/coaldropsyard/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Coal Drops Yard</a> , on Friday 13 September. A photographic exhibition that tells a unique story through the evocative shots of Magnum photographers Cristina de Middel, Lindokuhle Sobekwa and Olivia Arthur, authors who travelled to Vietnam, Ethiopia and Romania to capture, from their point of view, some moments of the support activities funded by PEACE FOR ALL. The project aims to be a global reflection on the value of peace, to tell the real impact of the UNIQLO PEACE FOR ALL project. The exhibition will be accompanied by the presentation of the new dedicated T-shirt models, the proceeds of which will be donated to the international humanitarian organisations UNHCR (the UN Refugee Agency), Plan International and Save the Children.

In chic Chelsea, shops and restaurants are coming together with exclusive events and activities from September 13 to 17. From themed cocktails at the Chelsea Bar at 11 Cadogan Gardens (try the Catwalk Martini), to an arty experience with Diptyque’s in-house artist creating custom watercolor illustrations inspired by its new collection on September 14. Or a stop at Cosmetics à la Carte on Pavilion Road, where any personalized appointment during LFW can include the Rock the Runway offer, which sees a senior artist demonstrate runway-ready makeup techniques.

An unmissable pit stop at The Standard hotel where for three days, from 14 to 17 September, CÎROC Ultra-Premium Vodka will collaborate on three fashion-themed evenings with KNWLS, Fashion East and the charismatic stylist and image director Law Roach. The CÎROC résidence will highlight aspects of three key brands and names on the fashion circuit with activities, talks and readings. Among these we highlight September 16, the date on which Law Roach will present his book &quot; How to Build a Fashion Icon&quot; (Recorded Books) and a new incarnation of &quot;remixed luxury&quot;. All events require booking. ( 10 Argyle Street).

Finally, a wonderful opportunity to see some masterpieces. At Phillips in Mayfair, a selection of artworks by the English painter David Hockney has been curated into a free exhibition ahead of an auction later this month. Open to the public from 12-19 September, ahead of the auctions on 19 and 20 September, it will be a great opportunity to see up close three works from Hockney’s celebrated Arrival of Spring series , a series of 61 iPad drawings documenting the transformation of winter into spring. Created in preparation for the artist’s 2012 Royal Academy retrospective, A Bigger Picture , Hockney returned to his late mother’s Bridlington home in 2006 to observe and record five Yorkshire springs.
