One dowry makes actors great: that of being remembered. Federico Cesari, protagonist of the Netflix series &quot;Everything asks for salvation&quot;, does not use histrionic gestures or mannerisms of language, however we remember his style and his face. From his words we understand that his is not a simple job, but a vocation: this is the key to his success.

<div style="text-align: justify;">The starting year of <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/design/cluttercore-gen-z-decor-trend" target="_blank" rel="noopener">GenZ</a> is 1997, year of birth of <a href="https://www.instagram.com/fe_cesari/?hl=en" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Federico Cesari</a> . Roman, he is the perfect interpreter of the needs and urgencies that this generation feels as its own. He cultivated his passion for acting from an early age but it was the roles in the <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/culture/wednesday-the-addams-family-netflix-details-trailer-cast-jenny-ortega" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Netflix</a> series of Martino in "Skam" and Daniele in " Everything asks for salvation" that made him understand what it meant to be an actor.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">L'OFFICIEL ITALIA: A very personal question to start with, what are your feelings, what do you feel when you are in front of a camera? FEDERICO CESARI: A mix of emotions. I realize I always discover something new, about me and about this job: every day is like the first time. Before shooting I constantly have the same anticipatory anxiety. But then comes a moment of liberation, a moment in which I vent everything that I can't bring out in everyday life. The great gift that cinema gives me is being able to express the deepest part of my emotions.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">LOI: Can we find a similarity of your "moment of liberation" with the protagonist of the Netflix series "Everything Asks for Salvation", Daniele, who manages to express himself through poetry? </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">FC: Sure. For me, " Everything Asks for Salvation" was very healing , it gave me a new focus. I came from a period of apathy and lack of stimulation: filming this series meant constantly expressing, I dare say "vomiting" due to the intensity of what happened, emotions that I felt boiling deep inside, bringing them to the surface and building the character on them of Daniel.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">LOI: Do you have much left of Daniele? </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">FC: Apart from the effect I mentioned on my emotionality, it was an all-encompassing experience as I was catapulted into a psychiatric ward for an entire week. I became passionate about the mental health theme told in the series and I got closer to poetry, which was now only a memory of my high school years.</div>

 LOI: What are you reading right now?
 FC: I'm making a film about the life of a poet, of which I can't say anything else. All my reading is focusing on his writings. The book instead waiting on my bedside table is "Full line, broken line" by Milo de Angelis.

<div style="text-align: justify;">LOI: What do you hope remains of your characters and the stories you tell through them? </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">FC: Cinema in the vast majority of cases has only one purpose: to entertain. I was very lucky to have met characters who deal with such current social issues that our generation wants to be represented more and more. Another fortune was that of having played characters with whom I was able to go on a journey. Let me explain: Martino of "Skam" is told in 360 degrees in his daily life as a high school student, son, boy who has to face a coming-out and first love ; Daniele is also told in the round, accompanying him throughout the week of the TSO to which he is subjected. The characters I've played don't represent a single theme, they aren't caricatures, they are real people who experience problems and emotions that are common to everyone.</div>

LOl: In your acting process, how much of Federico Cesari emerges in the final result that goes on stage? FC: It&#39;s a question I ask myself all the time. In this job, you risk everything. I never know how much I manage to dominate the character or on the contrary how much the character takes over me. In real life off the set I realize that I do things, like small gestures, taken from the scripts. Do they come from me or do they come from the characters I play? I can&#39;t give an answer. Of course I know that it is difficult to abandon a life that is not yours but that you have lived for months.

<h3 style="text-align: center;">The impotence we feel is strong, but the desire for salvation that this generation possesses is, I think, even more so.</h3>

LOI: What do you think about our world? Martino in "Skam" is a gay teenager who discovers his identity and Daniele in "Everything asks for salvation" is confronted with his mental health: do you think that these issues are addressed with the right weight by society and politics? 
FC: I see a great frustration of the new generations , at the level of society there are voices that are unable to express themselves and when they do they are not listened to. There is a great gap between what is perceived as of primary interest by the younger generations and what is perceived as such by the establishment. The theme of inclusiveness , environmental issues , work, are all urgencies and needs that are perceived as urgent by me and my peers. We have the feeling that there is no more time for some things and it really is: we can no longer afford to exclude people just because of prejudices about their conditions, we can no longer look the other way when it comes to climate. The impotence we feel is strong, but the desire for salvation that this generation possesses is, I think, even more so.

LOl: You're also a medical student. What do you see in your future: will Federico be a doctor or an actor? FC: Just a few years ago I would have given a different answer to this same question, because I hadn't encountered roles that made me say "I want to be an actor all my life" . I started acting as a child almost by chance and then over the years I cultivated this passion, without studying acting, until I met my first big role, Martino in "Skam" . Furthermore, as he gained weight in acting, Medicine became more and more difficult and I saw firsthand what it really meant to be a doctor: you collide with a different reality from the romantic one I had. You come across a health system that is leaking from all sides and is supported only thanks to the work of medical heroes. In short, it has become impossible to reconcile study with work: the hours that I would have had to devote to a specialization, I see it with my fianc&eacute;e who has embarked on this path, would have been incompatible with acting. So ultimately no, I won't be a doctor, I'll be an actor. 
LOl: You have been the face of <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/valentino-fall-winter-2022-haute-couture-rome-runway-photos" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Valentino</a> for an advertising campaign, you have participated in fashion shoots: what do you think of fashion, do you like this world? FC: In fashion there seems to be no single reality, as in cinema. You can fly with your imagination and express yourself through a unique, international language that seeks to push the bar of what is new and, why not, transgression, ever further. From what I observe, fashion needs to change continuously, to evolve, which implies an enormous creative effort.
