Cannes Film Festival 2024: the official selection for the 77th edition

After a long wait for big screen aficionados, the 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival has just revealed its official selection.

We already knew that French actress Camille Cottin will be the mistress of the Opening and Closing ceremonies of the 77th Cannes Film Festival , and that Greta Gerwig will chair the Jury. The long-awaited event, which will be held from May 14 to 25, 2024, is now revealing its official selection – and it is delightful. Among the big films expected, big names in French cinema such as Audiard, Coppola, Lellouche , but also the new comedy by Quentin Dupieux at the opening.

Lights, camera, Cannes! From May 16 to 27, 2023, the renowned Cannes Film Festival held its 76th annual event. Esteemed Swedish filmmaker Ruben Östlund took on the role of jury president for this edition. Among the highlights was the French film Anatomy of a Fall, directed by Justine Triet, which claimed the prestigious Palme d'Or, making Triet the third woman to receive this esteemed award, following Jane Campion in 1993 and Julia Ducournau in 2021.
