After deactivating her Instagram account, Britney Spears has returned to social media ahead of the release of her bombshell memoir.

After deactivating her Instagram account for less than 24 hours, <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/culture/britney-spears-discloses-pregnancy-during-relationship-with-justin-timberlake" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Britney Spears</a> has returned to the social media platform as she gets ready for the release of her memoir The Woman in Me. While she didn't give an explanation on why she ditched the account in the first place, only a day before she posted a statement that her "book's purpose was not to offend anyone by any means."
She continued, "That was me then&hellip; that is in the past! I don&rsquo;t like the headlines I am reading&hellip; that&rsquo;s exactly why I quit the business four years ago! Most of the book is from 20 years ago&hellip; I have moved on and it&rsquo;s a beautiful clean slate from here! I am here to establish it that way for the rest of my entire life! Either way, that is the last of it and shit happens!"

&ldquo;This is actually a book I didn&rsquo;t know needed to be written&hellip; although some might be offended, it has given me closure on all things for a better future! Hopefully I can enlighten people who feel particularly alone in most cases or hurt or misunderstood! Again, my motive for this book was not to harp on my past experiences, which is what the press is doing and it&rsquo;s dumb and silly! I have moved on since then," she concluded.
The statement likely comes after the numerous headlines made from the bombshell excerpts that have been shared with the public. Many of these headlines have to do with her <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/music/nsync-reunites-onstage-at-the-2023-mtv-vmas" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake</a>, in which she revealed she got pregnant while they were together and ultimately had an abortion because "he wasn't ready to be a father."
&ldquo;It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn&rsquo;t a tragedy. I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I&rsquo;d anticipated,&rdquo; Spears wrote. &ldquo;But Justin definitely wasn&rsquo;t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren&rsquo;t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young."
She recalls the abortion as "one of the most agonizing things" she ever experienced in her life. She also reportedly accuses Timberlake of cheating on her &mdash; a big reveal considering Timberlake's infamous song "Cry Me a River" overtly alluded that Spears' was also unfaithful during their relationship. After they broke up, Spears was quickly branded as a villainous figure, which negatively affected her career.

Spears' also revealed that Timberlake broke up with her over a two-word text: "It's over."
Ahead of the memoir's official release date on Oct. 24 and prior to the shared excerpts, numerous sources stated that Timberlake was "concerned" about what she had written. "He&rsquo;s very curious what she&rsquo;ll reveal from their relationship," one source&nbsp;<a href="https://pagesix.com/2023/10/16/justin-timberlake-concerned-about-ex-britney-spears-book/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told&nbsp;Page Six</a>. "It&rsquo;s eating at him.
But the bombshell reveals haven't only been about Timberlake, other points we know so far are how terrified she was of the python snake from her iconic 2001 VMAs performance, how she has no recollection of her spontaneous Las Vegas wedding with childhood friend Jason Alexander, and that she reflects on her 2-week whirlwind romance with Colin Farrell, calling it a "brawl."
Now that she has reactive her Instagram account and can continue promoting her book, Spears has already returned to her platform in her expected unexpected fashion posting a video of herself in a white mini dress that she "waited three years to wear it."
