The new year 2023 will be rich in exhibitions dedicated to fashion and design and interesting not only for fashion professionals, but also for all lovers of art, history and culture. We share a selection of exhibitions that are definitely worth a visit.

GIANNI VERSACE RETROSPECTIVE
In early December, the Groninger Museum (Groningen, the Netherlands) opened an exhibition dedicated to a retrospective of the work of <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/gianni-versace-assassination-history-career" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Gianni Versace</a>, one of the most influential couturiers of all time. Bold, colorful and emotional exposition will take the viewer into the world of extravagant clothes and bright catwalk shows that have become a symbiosis of fashion, music and design.
The exhibition presents numerous masterpieces by Gianni Versace - outfits, accessories, fabrics, drawings, interior items, as well as unique videos of his legendary shows and advertising campaigns, which, thanks to the genius of Versace, have turned into real works of art.

GABRIELLE CHANEL. FASHION MANIFESTO
One of the most anticipated and exciting fashion events of the year will obviously be the Gabrielle Chanel. Fashion Manifesto, which opens at the Victoria and Albert Museum in September. The exposition dedicated to the work of the legendary Mademoiselle will tell the story of the house of Chanel from the first collection that <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/travel/rosehall-house-the-secret-home-of-coco-chanel-and-hugh-bendor-grosvenor" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Coco Chanel</a> created in 1910 to the last show in 1971.
The basis of the exhibition will be exhibits presented in the exhibition of the same name in Paris at the Mus&eacute;e Galliera in 2020, as well as items from the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum. For the first time, 180 Chanel outfits will be on display, including looks designed for British model Ann Gunning and Hollywood actresses Marlene Dietrich and Lauren Bacall.

DIVA &quot;Diva&quot; - under this name, another exhibition will be held at the Victoria and Albert Museum. This exhibition explores the role of divas in different times - opera prima donnas, cult singers, public idols on the opera stage, in pop music and cinema. The incomparable Maria Callas, the incomparable Montserrat Caballe, the incredible Whitney Houston - these are the few divas whose stage fate can be learned at this exhibition. The photographs, music, and costumes presented at the exhibition show how the performers intersected with society and, with the help of their voice and art, contributed to changes in it. Exhibits for the exhibition will be selected by curators from the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum and private collections around the world. HALLYU! THE KOREAN WAVE The Victoria and Albert Museum in London is hosting an exhibition titled Hallyu! Korean wave. The purpose of the exposition is to showcase the colorful and vibrant pop culture of South Korea and the phenomenal impact it has had on film, theatre, music and fashion. Visitors are presented with a lot of curious exhibits - from the costumes of the TV series &quot;The Squid Game&quot; and the scenery of the film &quot;Parasite&quot; to the outfits of musical idols - Ateez, Aespa, BTS and Psy, the performer of the Gangnam Style video, which &quot;blew up&quot; YouTube with billions of views. FRESH, FLY AND FABULOUS: FIFTY YEARS OF HIP HOP STYLE The New York Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) will present an exhibition dedicated to the culture of hip-hop. It&#39;s hard to believe, but this dance, which originated on the streets of America, is already half a century old. Fashion in the 21st century owes a lot to hip-hop, which is why the exhibition focuses not only on the history of this dance, but also on its influence on trends and trends - from streetwear, logomania, sports to celebrity outfits. The highlight of the exhibition will be Hip Hop Glam, a red carpet showcase of the most extravagant outfits that hip-hop artists have shown on stages around the world. DESIGNING WOMEN: FASHION CREATORS AND THEIR INTERIORS Another very interesting exhibition at the Fashion Institute of Technology, &quot;Women&#39;s Design: Fashion Designers and Their Interiors&quot;, tells about the close relationship between art forms such as fashion and interior design. The exhibition showcases over 70 pieces of clothing and accessories from 40 famous women designers, including Elsa Schiaparelli, Coco Chanel, Jeanne Lanvin, Ann Lowe and Mary Quant. OBJECTS OF DESIRE: SURREALISM AND DESIGN 1924 – TODAY Over the next two months, you still have time to visit the Design Museum in London, the exhibition &quot;Objects of Passion: Surrealism and Design from 1924 to the Present&quot;, which demonstrates how Surrealism - one of the most powerful art movements of the 20th century - influenced design . Viewers will be able to see all the best that has appeared in surrealist design in its entire century-old history - works of art, furniture, interior items, clothing models, jewelry by such authors as Salvador Dali, Dora Maar, Man Ray, Leonora Carrington, Lee Miller, Elsa Schiaparelli and others. THE OFFBEAT SARI This spring, London&#39;s Design Museum will open a major exhibition dedicated to the contemporary sari. This traditional Indian women&#39;s attire is an expression of identity, a symbol of centuries of tradition and cultural codes. Today, designers are rethinking saris, experimenting with hybrid shapes, and using innovative materials. The exhibition will bring together dozens of the best saris of our time from designers and craftsmen from India, as well as from private collections. ANNÉES 80. MODE, DESIGN ET GRAPHISME EN FRANCE The turbulent eclectic era of the 1980s became the object of attention of the exhibition “The Eighties. Fashion, design and graphics of France”, which takes place in the Paris Museum of Decorative Arts. The historic decade that began with the election of President François Mitterrand in 1981 and ended with the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 was a turning point in politics and art throughout Europe. The exhibition brings together more than 700 works of art, including paintings, posters, photographs, fashion models, magazines and music album covers. Among the exhibits are the works of the authorship of Philippe Starck, Thierry Mugler, Jean-Paul Gaultier and other designers whose stars lit up in the 80s. Well, here, until January 25, you can still see the exposition dedicated to the queen of surrealism in fashion, the brilliant couturier Elsa Schiaparelli, about whom L`Officiel Baltic already wrote this year.
