At its most iconic address in Paris, Dior opens its doors to an exhibition by Claude and François-Xavier Lalanne

Probably when you think of <a href="https://www.revistalofficiel.com.br/cultura/por-dentro-da-exposicao-christian-dior-designer-of-dreams">Christian Dior</a> , the images that come to your mind are related to moulage, sewing, atelier and creative processes. And, of course, this is a fact. But, far beyond what everyone knows, <a href="https://www.revistalofficiel.com.br/gastronomia/receita-como-fazer-o-risoto-favorito-de-christian-dior">Monsieur Dior</a> was multi-talented. Before becoming a couturier, he was a gallery owner and art collector, completely passionate about the avant-garde. Today, in honor of his first profession, Sotheby&#39;s - an auction company - organizes an event for the sale of works by Claude and François-Xavier Lalanne , longtime friends of <a href="https://www.revistalofficiel.com.br/fashion-week/dior-verao-2023">Dior</a> .

But how did this story start?

In 1957, Monsieur met the Lalannes and, some time later, merged their names with the Maison, commissioning fabulous decorations for the boutique opened by the couturier two years earlier, on the corner of Avenue Montaigne and Rue François-Ier. These creative ties continued to be woven for a long time: in 2007, when Claude Lalanne created a decorative work for Dior&#39;s emblematic addresses; also when, for the spring-summer 2017 haute couture show, Maria Grazia Chiuri invited Claude to create with the collection&#39;s jewels, and the most recent partnership in 2021, when, thanks to Dior&#39;s sponsorship, the major exhibition Les Lalanne à Trianon revealed the work of sculptors in the gardens of the Château de Versailles. Now, starting on November 3, in the iconic abode of Dior and marking a new chapter in this history, 30 Montaigne is giving pride of place to French artists. The setting, so significant, is the ideal place to welcome visitors in a celebration of creative passion in all its forms. Another interesting curiosity is that from the 26th of September until the 9th of October, a preview of more than twenty exceptional sculptures from the collection of her daughter, Dorothée Lalanne is also available.
